Q: How often does Loopt update on the iPod touch, and how accurate is it?
A: Loopt can only update your location when the application is open and running on the screen and with an active WiFi connection. Apple does not yet allow programs like Loopt to run in the background and update location when they aren't on the screen. Accuracy will depend on WiFi proximity and accuracy. If your location is always inaccurate while connected to the same WiFi hotspot, you might try updating your WiFi hotspot location information here: http://www.skyhookwireless.com/howitworks/submit_ap.php
