Q: Why isn't the advertising tied to location?
A: We're working on it! Our goal is to make advertising as relevant and actionable as possible. At this stage, we're just testing things out as we work on new, innovative location-aware advertising formats. We plan to integrate location-aware ads based on these early tests and the feedback we receive from the Loopt community on this release.

Q: Can users opt out of the advertising?
A: Users are unable to opt out of advertising in the Loopt service. Ultimately we're hoping to blur the line between advertising and content to enhance your Loopt experience. Plus, it allows us to continue to offer Loopt for free – which we think is the biggest win of all.
